The first burials took place in 1899. Subsequently management of the cemetery came under the Commonwealth War Grave Commission
although civilian burials continued until at least 1966. There are over 100 war graves in the cemetery but I have only included those relating
to East African Forces. There are a few unmarked graves, both military and civilian and I obtained information on some of these from CWGC documentation.
